Westside Hoops will take a look at our first-year college students who will embark on their first classes as a college student and check-up on our college seniors.

In less than one month, Iverson Turno and Carter Stockham will undertake a new chapter in their lives, college! While Turno will continue his basketball career following the footsteps of sophomore’s Tafake Faleta and Jeremi Santos at Cypress college in Southern California, Stockham makes the trip to Arizona State University.

“Win the basketball intramural tournament,” said Stockham on his goal in the first year of college. Turno has a different approach, grayshirting his first year to get stronger and further his basketball skill set.

Penn State Fayette senior Marvin Sidon enters his last year of college and has his eyes on a college degree. “To maintain my cumulative gpa above a 3.0 but for basketball, to be awarded First-Team All-American.

Kalalani Kai’akala enters his junior season at UH Hilo and has his eyes on a degree in Pre-Nursing. “To average all B’s across all my classes, it’s second hardest degree at UH Hilo…”
